Students will camp in the desert southwest while exploring state and national parks including Arches National Park, Grand Canyon National Park and Gooseneck State Park. We will hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and see the spectacular Colorado River. This course is strenuous.

Ballroom Dance - Rhythm and Smooth Series includes the following dances: Bolero, Mambo, Samba, Waltz, and Viennese Waltz. Students will learn how to properly execute beginning figures in each dance, how to Lead and/or Follow, and proper etiquette involved in social dancing. Additionally, students will learn a brief history, the characteristics, and the musicality of each dance. Evaluation is pass/fail and based on attendance, participation, and a written final.

Students will be presented with a history of challenge courses and learn how to lead groups through a low and high elements challenge course. Focus will be given to sequencing events, processing and debriefing techniques, front loading games and initiatives, introducing games and initiatives, and risk management issue while conducting challenge course activities.

Introduction to Bouldering will teach students the basic skills to be able to go bouldering with a partner. Students will travel to the Southeast to spend 4-5 days bouldering at Horse Pens 40 in Alabama and one day bouldering at Rocktown in Georgia. Students will be camping. The class focus will be on learning how to safely boulder with a partner while improving bouldering technique.
