Proposal/Approval Process for
Courses and
Workshops Offered through the CCP
How to Propose Courses and Workshops to be Offered through the Center for Credit Programs
The Center for Credit Programs supports the offering of credit courses and workshops to be scheduled in addition to the University’s regular session classes. Faculty and academic administrators are invited to submit proposals for individual courses and programs. Courses offered are official University of Iowa courses, as listed in The University of Iowa General Catalog.
Proposals for courses and workshops to be offered through the Center for Credit Programs are made through the sponsoring academic department. In some instances the Center for Credit Programs may initiate requests for departmental sponsorship of courses in response to external requests or opportunities. In either case, courses offered through the CCP must be approved by the sponsoring academic department and college as well as by the Center for Credit Programs and the Division of Continuing Education.
