A limited number of scholarships covering tuition for one academic credit course are available through the Division of Continuing Education. The scholarships may be applied to Saturday & Evening, Distance Education, or Guided Independent Study courses.

Priority is given to students in degree programs supported by course work offered through the Division of Continuing Education.

Deadlines for receipt of applications are:

• Fall semester scholarships-July 1
• Spring semester scholarships-December 1
• Summer session scholarships-April 1

If a deadline date falls on a weekend, the deadline will be the following Monday.

Bachelor of Applied Studies and Bachelor of Liberal Studies

BAS/BLS Scholarship Application form (pdf)

Each fall session, scholarships are awarded through The Division of Continuing Education to qualified applicants in the Bachelor of Applied Studies (BAS) and Bachelor of Liberal Studies (BLS) programs. Applicants must be admitted into the BAS or BLS degree program by August 1st and have earned an Associate of Arts, Associate of Science or Associate of Applied Science degree from an Iowa Community college. Refer to the overview of the BAS and BLS external degree programs for more information.

This fund supports UI staff members who wish to begin or continue their undergraduate studies at The University. See scholarship cover sheet (page 1 of the application form) for information on eligibility.
