Summer Session - Summer Youth Programs

This summer you have a chance to explore new horizons in your favorite subject or sport. Maybe you'd like to try something you've never tried before or just take a look at what University life is like. Perhaps you have a special talent or skill you want to build on. Taking part in one of the many programs offered at The University of Iowa can make this the best summer of your life.

Some UI summer youth programs offer University credit. All of them give you the chance to work with University faculty members and facilities and to make friends with other students from all over the country, in a comfortable summer setting.

Students enrolled in any of the summer youth programs may participate in all of the activities and programs sponsored by the Iowa Center for the Arts. It is the University's conviction that music, dance, theater, visual arts, creative writing, and film enhance aesthetic appreciation and enrich general educational programs.

Minority students are especially urged to take advantage of the University's summer offerings. Please be sure to also visit Opportunity at Iowa's summer youth program web site at www.uiowa.edu/~provost/oi/summer_programs. Limited financial aid is available, so applicants should check with the program coordinator.
