Winter Session - Tuition Schedule

Winter Session 2008-09 Undergraduate (Liberal Arts and Sciences, Nursing, Engineering, Business, and undergraduate Medicine students) tuition will be assessed at the following rate:

Register for 1 semester hour:  Tuition = $232
Register for 2 semester hours: Tuition = $464
Register for 3 semester hours: Tuition = $696

     Please note Undergraduate Winter Session tuition is the same for residents and nonresidents.  Additional course fees may be assessed.

Winter Session 2008-09 Graduate, Dentistry, Law, Medicine, Pharmacy, and Public Health students' tuition will be assessed at the following rate:

Register for 1 semester hour:  Tuition = $361
Register for 2 semester hours: Tuition = $722
Register for 3 semester hours: Tuition = $1,083

     Please note Graduate Winter Session tuition is the same for residents and nonresidents.  Additional course fees may be assessed.

Winter Session 2008-09 students in the MBA for Professionals and Managers will be assessed $1,530 for a 3 semester hour course.

Drop/Add Deadlines and Tuition Responsibility

Winter Session courses will follow the add, drop, drop without a "W", add or change P-F, P-N, S-U, or audit status and fees deadlines determined by the length of the course.

To compute the length of the course, start with the Begin date and count every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday through the End date. Do not include University holidays, Thanksgiving recess, spring break, or weekends unless the course meets on those days. Then refer to the information below:

Late registration fees are assessed on the following schedule:

The charge is $10 for each course added or dropped after the deadline.

Winter Session students may process changes in registration through ISIS any time prior to the beginning date of the course. Beginning and ending dates are listed on ISIS.

 

note.gif (247 bytes) It is possible some courses may have insufficient enrollment and will be canceled.  Cancellation decisions will be made by December 12, 2008. Should your course be canceled, you will be notified in writing by the academic department. Please be certain your residing address is current.  Address corrections and updates may be made on ISIS at http://isis.uiowa.edu under the Student Records tab.
