The Staff

All staff members are successful Lincoln-Douglas debaters and coaches. Only debaters or coaches of debaters who have been in late elimination rounds at national tournaments are invited to be on the Iowa staff. Staff members have been in final rounds in tournaments such as the Glenbrooks, the Barkley Forum at Emory University, Stanford, Wake Forest, St. Mark's, Greenhill, the National Tournament of Champions, the National Forensics League National Speech and Debate Tournament, and the Catholic Forensic League National Tournament, and many others. The coaches have all coached students to championships in Lincoln-Douglas. Staff members come from Alabama, California, Iowa, Louisiana, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, and Texas. They bring different perspectives to the Institute and offer students a diverse experience. Many of the staff hold advance degrees in philosophy and/or law.
