Air Conditioning!
Iowa is one of the only debate institutes in the country to provide air-conditioned dorms to the students. Our rooms will provide all of our students a break from the summer heat.
Mail
Don't worry, mail is picked up and delivered on a daily basis. If you would like to mail a letter or package to a student please use the following address.

Telephone
Telephones are not provided, but service is available. Each room is equipped with an active telephone jack, but student and staff schedules make it difficult to call between 8 am and 9 pm. Most of the day is spent in classes or the library. The telephone service permits long distance calls using a telephone credit card number. It is best for parents and friends to arrange a time when they can call the student. Students are not permitted to use the telephones after 12:00 a.m. (Central daylight savings time). The cost of local telephone service is included in the institute fee.
Laundry
Coin-operated laundry facilities are available in the residence hall and commercial establishments on campus.
Supervision
Mr. Bellus, Director, will be the residence hall director. Mr. Bellus has over 25 years experience in the area of supervision and working with gifted students.
