Telephone. Telephones are not provided. Student and staff schedules make it difficult to call between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Most of the day is spent in classes or the library. It is best for parents and friends to arrange a time when they can call the student. Students are not permitted to use the telephones after 12:00 a.m. (Central daylight savings time).
Getting Individual Telephone Numbers. Students are responsible for notifying parents of their safe arrival and correct room numbers. Students should make a specific arrangement to call home. Students should consider their family needs and agree with parents about days and times they can call. Of course, any parent has the right to call whenever and for whatever reason, but there are only two hours each day when a student is likely to be present to answer the telephone except where specific arrangements are made in advance.
