Macbride Laboratory
Named after founder Thomas Macbride, this building was renovated in 2004-05 and is the only stone lab with climate control (heating and air conditioning). This building is used for classes and research in freshwater algae and diatoms. Lakeside Lab is internationally recognized for diatom research.
To the East (right) of Macbride there is a lone oak tree. This area is being restored to natural prairie and savanna by Lakeside students.
