The University of Iowa offers both credit and noncredit educational opportunities to individuals at a distance. It is possible through Distance Education at Iowa to meet many of your educational needs right from the convenience of your home. The Iowa Lakeside Lab Regents Resource Center is your connection to eastern Iowa.

College Credit Coursework, Degree and Certificate Programs

The Distance Education website provides information about graduate, undergraduate and certificates programs you can participate online or through extension services. It is also possible to simply take one course online as well.

Noncredit Educational Opportunities

Noncredit educational opportunities include the Ed2go and Continuetolearn with SkillSoft programs. These noncredit courses are shorter in length and provide an inexpensive way to learn more about a topic of interest. Many individuals utilize these programs to gain additional workforce skills like computer software applications, grant writing, Speed Spanish, Medical Coding, just to name a few. If you are looking to build your career portfolio, one of these course options may be right for you.

Community College Transfer Information

If you are thinking of transferring to The University of Iowa, you are in good company. Each year, about 2,000 undergraduates transfer here from other colleges or universities.
