Master of Public Health
The Master of Public Health program provides practical training
in public health to professionals who intend to apply their training
in a professional work setting. The program is designed for persons
who already possess specialized training and/or experience in
a discipline relevant to the practice of public health. In addition
to completing core course requirements, students electing this
degree program are expected to apply the knowledge and skills
of the core disciplines in completing a practicum experience.
Admission Requirements
Although you do not have to be formally admitted to the College
of Public Health to attend Summer Institute courses, interested
students are strongly advised to apply. Due to the heavy
demand for our courses, students admitted to a certificate or
degree program in the College of Public Health have priority in
registering for most Summer Institute courses. Minimum grade-point
average requirements for admission to the MPH Program are 3.0
on a 4.0 scale. The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is required
for admission to the MPH, but not to the Certificate Program.
