Cooperative Lakes Area Monitoring Project

The Cooperative Lakes Area Monitoring Project (CLAMP) is looking for volunteers to monitor lake health. Free training and equipment provided. Contact 712.337-3669 Ext 7 for information.

CLAMP monitors the water quality of Dickinson County lakes. Our volunteers collect samples during the summer and return these to Lakeside Lab for analysis. They collectively contribute more than 400 hours each season in addition to the use of their boats and gas.

Coffee and Grounds

Join this informal group of volunteers as they perform stewardship work on Lakeside grounds and natural areas. Learn about native plants, natural history, and gardening while you work, then relax over coffee on the Waitt Lab porch. Work hard and learn about native ecosystems while restoring prairie and oak savanna at Lakeside. For more information, contact Matt Fairchild at matthew-fairchild@uiowa.edu

Tuesday mornings, 8:30 am.
Meet at Waitt Lab.
