Iowa Great Lakes Vegetation Mapping Survey In conjunction with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Iowa Lakeside Lab faculty and students researchers used sonar techniques to map the aquatic vegetation along the margins of the Iowa Great Lakes.
These data provide baseline measures to assess the impacts of zebra mussel invasion. This study will be repeated in 2015, with plans to continue monitoring into the future as the zebra mussel invasion proceeds.
